As discussed in our previous Blogging on Blogging posts, habitually sharing your properties’ content across social media channels is key to driving engagement. The Brand Mix blog revels in variety; we post videos, photographs, announcements, and tutorials all in one place. That way, when we link readers to our blog page, they are greeted by a wealth of varied content. We have seen, first hand, the impact social media has in attracting attention. But its power to communicate must not be taken lightly.

Sharing your blog posts on Instagram, for example, says a whole lot more than just “Check this out!” It also wordlessly implies the audience and age bracket you’re hoping to reach.

LinkedIn stands for professionalism. Facebook is wide-reaching and an excellent resource for capturing the attention of middle-aged travellers. Meanwhile, Instagram is a hub for Millennials, and Snapchat has become heavily populated by school children.

Know how you’d like to represent your brand, who you want to reach, and where they like to hang out online. Perhaps you’d like to capture the attention of more than one demographic. No problem. Simply appropriately tailor your calls to action to appeal to the age-bracket at hand. Think formal language on LinkedIn and more conversational tones across Instagram. You may be linking to the same blog post or promotional offer across both channels but you’re using different language and designs to win that all-important click.

Seem like a lot to take in? It can be. But at The Brand Mix, we’re experts in the field. If you’re thinking of sprucing up your social media campaigns and calls to action, don’t hesitate to contact us. When it comes to all things interwebby, we’re the ones to call. Get publishing. And happy sharing!
